Postgraduate & Early Career Nutrition Conference
The Postgraduate and Early Career Nutrition Conference (PGECN Conference) is a one-day conference for early career nutrition professionals and nutrition or dietetic students who have or are working toward a qualification that is recognised by the New Zealand Nutrition Society or Dietitians New Zealand.
The inaugural PGECN Conference was hosted in 2014 in Dunedin. Following its success, annual meetings have followed, and it has now firmly established itself as a pivotal opportunity for emerging nutritional scientists to present research to peers before delivering presentations at large international conferences.
The annual conference provides an opportunity for nutrition professionals to present research, participate in a career-orientated workshops, learn how to build a successful career as a nutritionist or dietitian and network with other nutrition professionals.
The 2019 PGECN Conference will explore the theme ‘Beyond Nutrition | Kei Tua i te Kaitōtika’.
Within this theme, we seek to challenge our delegates to explore issues and key competencies related to our industry, such as sustainability, food security, community engagement and cultural awareness. We aim to empower and equip our delegates to be able to promote and enhance health for all.
